Description

Design and optimize scalable data warehouse architectures on Azure, leading migration from legacy systems and ensuring data governance compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines and workflows using Azure Databricks, Python, and Spark.
• Define and operationalize data governance frameworks, including lineage, quality SLAs, and automated profiling for financial datasets.
• Lead migration of legacy data systems to modern cloud-based architectures with performance tuning and ETL/ELT optimization.
• Mentor data engineering teams through architectural guidance, code reviews, and technical coaching.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and compliance teams to ensure regulatory adherence and data security.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience as a Data Warehouse Architect or senior data engineering role.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure Databricks, Python, SQL, and Azure Data Services.
• Strong proficiency in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and big data technologies (Spark).
• Deep domain knowledge of financial or capital markets, including trading, risk, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience implementing data governance, lineage, and quality frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Ability to produce technical documentation and present to executive stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Azure certifications (Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or Solutions Architect).
• Proficiency in Scala, Java, or C#.
