You design and manage enterprise-grade database solutions within Azure environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data solutions using Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and Azure Cosmos DB.
• Develop logical and physical data models that prioritize performance, transparency, and data provenance.
• Implement disaster recovery, high availability, and geo-replication strategies.
• Manage database infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and execute DevSecOps workflows.
• Execute data security protocols including classification, masking, encryption, and RBAC.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in database engineering.
• 2+ years focused on cloud-native database services in Azure.
• Proficiency in T-SQL for scripting, automation, and diagnostics.
• Experience with ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Hands-on use of Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Azure Monitor.
• Knowledge of cloud-native design patterns such as statelessness and elasticity.
• Experience with versioned schemas and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Ability to manage highly scrutinized, public-facing datasets and audit trails.

Preferred Skills

• Experience preparing technical documentation for public consumption or legal review.
