Description

You will design and manage data architecture and ETL pipelines within an Azure environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced SQL Server objects including stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks.
• Architect Azure Synapse data warehouses using dimensional modeling and performance tuning.
• Analyze legacy mainframe systems to design migration strategies into Azure Data Lake.
• Monitor ETL workloads to ensure data quality, security, and efficient job execution.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in SQL development, ETL/SSIS, and data warehousing.
• Hands-on experience with Azure-based data engineering.
• Expertise with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Databricks.
• Proficiency in SQL development and query optimization.
• Experience analyzing legacy sources including COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
• Ability to implement dimensional modeling (fact and dimension tables).
• Experience integrating structured and unstructured data into modern cloud platforms.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
