Description

You own the management, maintenance, and optimization of database systems, focusing on operational reliability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Plan capacity and forecast database growth and infrastructure needs.
• Support data migration and integration across heterogeneous platforms.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and business continuity testing.
• Evaluate and recommend new database technologies to improve performance.
• Optimize database design and data access patterns alongside application teams.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB in production.
• Proficiency in T-SQL and MongoDB query language.
• Strong knowledge of database architecture, replication, clustering, and backup/recovery.
• Experience implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Skilled in database security, including access control and encryption.
• Experience automating operational tasks using Bash or PowerShell scripting.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Experience using monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, DataDog, or Prometheus.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of Redis for caching and in-memory data storage.
• Experience with Neo4j or other graph databases.
