Description

You will manage, implement, and maintain database systems and relational database management systems (RDBMS) to ensure seamless interaction between applications and vendor-developed systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute SQL jobs and maintenance plans, including backups and restorations, to prevent data loss.
• Monitor system performance using utilities, online capabilities, and batch reports to ensure minimal service interruption.
• Collaborate with application developers to provide technical assistance and consult on RDBMS integration.
• Test, troubleshoot, and document systems while applying security standards and quality assurance.
• Develop test data to validate new or modified database applications.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of progressively responsible programming experience or equivalent training.
• Hands-on experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
• Proficiency in managing metadata and developing procedures for metadata updates.
• Experience with data modeling and defining functional requirements.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting hardware integration points between operating systems and database management systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with vendor-developed system interfaces.
