Description

You manage and optimize complex Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments on Red Hat Linux.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Multi-Tenant Architecture and PostgreSQL servers.
• Design scalable database structures, indexing strategies, and partitioning schemes with development teams.
• Tune performance using Oracle AWR and PostgreSQL pg_stat_statements to monitor resource utilization.
• Implement high availability solutions including Oracle Data Guard, RAC, and PostgreSQL streaming replication.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery strategies using RMAN and pg_dump to ensure data integrity.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Advanced expertise in Oracle (12c, 8i, 9i, 10g, Exadata) and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with Red Hat Linux operating systems.
• Strong command of PL/SQL and PL/pgSQL.
• Experience with Bash and PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Hands-on experience managing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes.
• Deep understanding of database security, encryption, and user permission management.
• Proven ability to perform data migrations between Oracle and PostgreSQL environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with complex data migration projects.
