Description

Manage and optimize SQL Server environments across Azure deployments, ensuring operational stability and high availability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage HA/DR solutions, including Always On Availability Groups, geo-replication, and point-in-time restore.
• Maintain and tune SQL Server instances to ensure stability across various Azure environments.
• Execute data migration projects and optimize complex database queries for performance.
• Perform regular database maintenance and monitor performance across all managed systems.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of database administration experience specifically on SQL Server 16 or newer.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
• Expertise in Transparent Data Encryption within SQL Server.
• Proficiency in T-SQL and advanced query optimization.
• Experience with performance tuning and database maintenance routines.
• Familiarity with ETL tools like SSIS and Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Experience with automation and source control using Git.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Proven ability in data migration tasks.
