Description

You will manage database infrastructure engineering to ensure stability, scalability, and effective capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Own the release pipeline, execute schema changes, and lead performance improvements.
• Execute bottleneck analysis and performance tuning for critical systems.
• Manage database maintenance, recovery processes, and outage prevention or resolution.
• Develop stored procedures, ETL processes, and tools while optimizing queries.
• Enforce database security, standards, and organizational guidelines.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience with DB2 on Linux.
• Deep expertise in DB2 Linux version 10 and above, including SQL, Temp tables, plan explains, MQTs, and MDCs.
• Advanced knowledge of OLTP, Data Warehouse design, and Federated database systems.
• Proficiency in relational database performance tuning, including indices, statistics/reorgs, and de-normalization.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Perl, and Unix/K-Shell scripting.
• Experience with database modeling tools and referential integrity constraints.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of other relational databases and versioning tools like Perforce.
• Understanding of transactional database requirements for financial asset classes.
