Description

You will manage and maintain DB2 LUW environments across development, QA, training, and production systems in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Plan, document, and execute database upgrades, migrations, and new environment setups.
• Develop moderate to complex SQL statements for ETL processes and data migration.
• Support application developers with database design, implementation, testing, and SQL performance tuning.
• Design upgrade strategies including checklists, milestones, and fallback procedures in coordination with sysadmins.
• Maintain entity relationships using Erwin and assist with OS and database patching.

Required Skills

• 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• 5 years of experience with SQL.
• 3 years of experience with DB2 LUW.
• 3 years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• 1 year of experience with Relational Data Modeling.
• 1 year of experience with Erwin.
• 1 year of experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to work non-business hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Unix shell scripts (ksh, csh, bash, or sh), COBOL, or Teradata.
• Experience with Quest’s Toad for DB2 LUW, IBM’s DataQuant or QMF, or DBI Software’s Performance Suite.
• Experience with SQL Server or MySQL.
