Description

You will manage, secure, and optimize Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining these databases, including patches, updates, and version upgrades. You will design and implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity. Monitor database performance and resolve issues through query optimization, indexing, and tuning. Enforce database security via user management, access control, encryption, and regular audits. Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, including patches, updates, and version upgrades.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• Expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, database design, and data modeling.
• Experience with database performance tuning and security practices.
• Ability to use Python or Shell scripting for automation tasks.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle Database Administration certifications (e.g., OCA, OCP) or PostgreSQL certifications.
• Experience with cloud databases such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL.
