Description

You will manage, optimize, and secure Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement database schemas using data modeling principles.
• Execute performance tuning, backup, and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
• Manage database security practices and implement high availability solutions and clustering.
• Automate routine administrative tasks using Python and Shell scripting.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues through detailed analysis.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL systems.
• Advanced SQL proficiency.
• Strong background in database design and data modeling.
• Experience with database performance tuning and security.
• Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle Database Administration certifications (OCA or OCP).
• PostgreSQL certifications.
• Experience with cloud databases including AWS RDS or Azure SQL.
