Description

You will manage and maintain database infrastructure across Oracle and SQL Server environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and build database architecture for Oracle and SQL Server.
• Deploy, manage, and monitor Oracle databases on AWS and Azure, including RDS and EC2 instances.
• Execute database upgrades, patching, and migrations with zero or minimal downtime.
• Perform advanced performance tuning, analyzing wait events and optimizing resource utilization.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for DBA queries, managing escalations and documenting SOPs.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience administering Oracle and SQL Server.
• Deep expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience configuring and managing AWS RDS and Azure SQL/Oracle on IaaS/VMs.
• Proficiency in performance tuning, including IO/CPU bottleneck troubleshooting and using AWR/ASH reports.
• Experience with backup, recovery, and high availability configurations for both database systems.
• Knowledge of cloud monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch and Azure Monitor.
• Strong skills in Shell Scripting.
• Experience with database migration strategies (on-prem to cloud, cloud-to-cloud).
• Understanding of database governance, security, and compliance.
