Manage and optimize highly available database solutions for mission-critical applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, upgrade, and patch highly available database solutions.
• Define data conversion, quality, and cleansing criteria for COTS vendors.
• Perform database tuning to optimize application performance.
• Troubleshoot database outages as part of a multi-layer technology support team.
• Enforce policies regarding database design, security, change management, and compliance.

Required Skills

• 15+ years building, securing, and backing up Oracle and MS SQL Server databases.
• 15+ years experience with data cleansing, conversions, and migrations.
• 15+ years providing enterprise application and database operational support.
• 10+ years application development using Java, .NET, JSON, JavaScript, or C#.
• 10+ years implementing COTS enterprise database solutions for State Government agencies.
• 5+ years implementing infrastructure architecture for enterprise applications.
• 3+ years configuring database solutions in Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• 3+ years designing and implementing high availability systems.
• Proficiency with Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, Amazon RDS, and Postgres.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with TOAD, Visual Studio, WebLogic, JBOSS, SQL, PL/SQL, XML, and SQL Developer.
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
