Description

You will manage the planning, development, maintenance, and monitoring of integrated database systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement logical and physical relational database models and prototypes.
• Monitor database performance and execute tuning to increase processing efficiency.
• Manage data integrity, redundancy control, database loading, and reorganization.
• Execute security, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures to protect against hardware and software failures.
• Maintain the data dictionary and establish standards for data definitions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in computer systems analysis or computer programming.
• Strong knowledge of database structures, theories, and current database technologies.
• Experience with logical and physical data modeling and relational database design.
• Proficiency in database search strategies and storage requirement implementation.
• Ability to perform benchmarking and threshold testing.
• Working knowledge of EIR Accessibility standards and assistive technologies for database interfaces and reporting.
• Competency in computer programming languages and systems design principles.
• Experience with project control and cost estimating techniques.

Preferred Skills

• Experience coordinating with programmers and analysts to implement changes to the database management system.
• Evaluate user requests for new data elements and incorporate them into the shared environment.
