Description

You will own the database architecture, performance tuning, and operational support for the TIERS applications portfolio.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test databases to support new business requests and enhance application scalability.
• Perform advanced logical database administration, performance monitoring, and tuning for Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Build scalable database solutions using Java/J2EE, Spring, and REST/SOAP services.
• Provide application and database operations triage, including on-call support for production, development, and test environments.
• Develop and modify Linux shell scripts for day-to-day LDBA tasks and process documentation.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in database administration and development.
• Strong proficiency in Oracle and PostgreSQL database management.
• Hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, and JPA frameworks.
• Expertise in building and consuming SOAP/REST web services.
• Proficiency with IBM WebSphere application server.
• Experience with front-end technologies including jQuery and AngularJS.
• Ability to write and maintain Linux shell scripts.
• Experience with Agile development practices.
