You will own database administration responsibilities for MS SQL Server environments.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain SQL Server clusters to ensure high availability.
• Optimize database schemas to handle read and write heavy application loads.
• Identify and resolve tactical pain points, such as database locks and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement and manage backup processes and security configurations.
• Define and advocate for data sharding and archival strategies with stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator Subject Matter Expert.
• Deep expertise in MS SQL Server.
• Experience configuring SQL Server for high availability.
• Proficiency in performance optimization and query tuning.
• Knowledge of database security and compliance configurations.
• Experience with data sharding and archival strategy implementation.
