Description

Manage and maintain production MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring availability, reliability, and data integrity.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and routine maintenance.
• Monitor database performance and resolve performance-related issues.
• Troubleshoot slow queries, locking issues, and storage-related problems.
• Implement and manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
• Manage database users, roles, permissions, and security settings.

Required Skills

• 5-12 years of hands-on experience in Database Administration.
• Strong experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience in database performance tuning and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
• Experience monitoring database health and resolving production issues.
• Knowledge of database security, user management, and access controls.
• Experience supporting high-availability and production database environments.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle database administration experience.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
