Description

You will manage and optimize Oracle and SQL Server environments for high availability and performance.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Perform database performance tuning, capacity planning, and resource optimization.
• Implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN for Oracle and SQL Server.
• Configure HA/DR solutions including Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and SQL Server AlwaysOn.
• Design end-to-end database architectures and data models for OLTP and OLAP workloads.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in database administration.
• Deep expertise in Oracle and SQL Server installation, configuration, and upgrades.
• Proficiency in RMAN for Oracle backup and recovery.
• Strong understanding of OLTP and OLAP database design patterns.
• Ability to create logical and physical data models, including normalization and indexing strategies.
• Experience managing users, roles, privileges, and security policies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with large-scale enterprise database migrations.
• Familiarity with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL).
