Key responsibilities

Install, configure and maintain database software across multiple database flavours.Perform database upgrades, patching and data migrations.Create database tables, set up indexes, data constraints and database views.Own and lead operational database tasks and coordinate their delivery.Handle customer escalations and manage incident and problem management under ITIL practices.Drive process improvements in database operations.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and communicating progress effectively.What you will bringFive years of database administration experience.Proficient knowledge and administration experience in at least one of SAP HANA, MaxDB, MSSQL or MySQL.Experience working in a large landscape where multiple database flavours run together.Hands-on experience with expert knowledge of Unix/Linux flavours with respect to databases.ITIL incident and problem management experience.Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and manage priorities.Proficient in spoken and written English.Nice to haveTwo or more years of experience in a subject matter expert (SME)
