Description

You will manage and optimize enterprise-scale relational and warehouse database environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer, patch, and install SQL Server instances based on specific design requirements.
• Execute database migrations to new SQL Server versions, ensuring all logins, jobs, SSIS packages, and linked servers are preserved.
• Implement and manage high availability and disaster recovery strategies, including mirroring, log-shipping, replication, and multi-site availability groups.
• Perform database tuning, monitoring, and maintenance for relational, warehouse, and VLDB environments.
• Design and implement file group strategies, table partitioning, and index compression.

Required Skills

• 5-7 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and above.
• 3-5 years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and above.
• 1-2 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Expertise in Windows PowerShell scripting for administrative automation.
• Deep understanding of deadlock analysis, wait-type analysis, and blocking transactions.
• Proficiency in SQL development, including stored procedures, triggers, UDFs, and views.
• Experience with Windows high availability clustering in relation to SQL Server 2016 or 2019+.
• Strong knowledge of relational OLTP and OLAP (fact/dimension) database modeling.
• Direct experience with backup, restore, and recoverability methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity or willingness to learn DB2 LUW implementation and support.
• Experience with SSIS packages and SSRS report tuning.
