You will manage and optimize enterprise-scale relational and warehouse database environments.
Responsibilities
Administer, patch, and install SQL Server instances based on specific design requirements.
Execute database migrations to new SQL Server versions, ensuring all logins, jobs, SSIS packages, and linked servers are preserved.
Implement and manage high availability and disaster recovery strategies, including mirroring, log-shipping, replication, and multi-site availability groups.
Perform database tuning, monitoring, and maintenance for relational, warehouse, and VLDB environments.
Design and implement file group strategies, table partitioning, and index compression.
Required Skills
5-7 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and above.
3-5 years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and above.
1-2 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and Reporting Services (SSRS).
Expertise in Windows PowerShell scripting for administrative automation.
Deep understanding of deadlock analysis, wait-type analysis, and blocking transactions.
Proficiency in SQL development, including stored procedures, triggers, UDFs, and views.
Experience with Windows high availability clustering in relation to SQL Server 2016 or 2019+.
Strong knowledge of relational OLTP and OLAP (fact/dimension) database modeling.
Direct experience with backup, restore, and recoverability methodologies.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity or willingness to learn DB2 LUW implementation and support.
Experience with SSIS packages and SSRS report tuning.
