Description

You will manage and upgrade SQL Server environments within an on-premises virtualized infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade SQL Server environments from version 2017 to 2022.
• Manage high availability configurations and clustering for SQL Server.
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery strategies within VMs.
• Perform maintenance and configuration of SQL Server components like SSRS and SSIS.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of SQL Server DBA experience in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience upgrading SQL Server 2017 to 2022 on virtualized infrastructure.
• Expertise in clustering, high availability, and DR strategies using VMs.
• Strong understanding of Hyper-V or VMware environments.
• Proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell Scripting.
• Experience managing SQL Server on Windows Server in an on-premises data center.
• Experience with SQL Server components such as SSRS, SSIS, and Analysis Services.
• Familiarity with Active Directory requirements for SQL clustering.
• Understanding of DNS configuration for SQL Server listeners.
