Description

You will administer enterprise databases, ensuring performance, security, and availability for SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL databases, monitoring performance and health.
• Execute and manage scheduled backup and restore operations, supporting disaster recovery.
• Respond to L2 incidents, troubleshooting issues related to performance, connectivity, or failed jobs.
• Manage database security, including roles, permissions, and adherence to governance policies.
• Assist application teams with database deployments, DDL changes, and configuration modifications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a Database Administrator role.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Strong understanding of database architecture, indexing, and query execution plans.
• Experience with database backup and recovery mechanisms.
• Familiarity with scripting using PowerShell.
• Exposure to monitoring tools such as OEM, SolarWinds, Nagios, or DataDog.
• Experience with database security and role management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with HADR technologies (Always On, RAC, Replication, Clustering).
• Exposure to automation tools or DevOps practices.
