Description

You will manage and optimize database systems across on-premises and cloud environments, with a primary focus on developing an Azure-based data lake. You will lead migration projects, design ETL processes, and automate administrative tasks to ensure data integrity and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead database migration projects from on-premises systems to cloud platforms.
• Design and implement ETL processes to transform data into high-quality products.
• Install, configure, and upgrade DBMS software and related products.
• Develop automation and data integration scripts to improve administrative efficiency.
• Mentor team members on building pipelines, test plans, and maintaining source control within Azure.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration and management.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory.
• Proven expertise in managing Data Lake architectures.
• Proficiency with MySQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts and data migration workflows.
• Experience with Serverless SQL and Data Polls.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement database optimization.
• Competency in managing DBMS and ensuring relational integrity.
• Experience integrating testing automation through Azure DevOps test plans.

Preferred Skills

• Experience setting up Database as a Service (DBaaS) solutions.
• Knowledge of implementing DevOps practices for database management.
