Description

Manage and maintain DB2 LUW environments across development, QA, and production tiers, handling upgrades, migrations, and performance optimization.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and fallback procedures with detailed documentation.
• Develop complex SQL statements for ETL processes and data migration tasks.
• Review SQL for performance, providing index recommendations to optimize efficiency.
• Support application developers by designing, implementing, and testing database changes.
• Collaborate with system administrators on OS and database patching using Erwin for entity relationship diagrams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• 5+ years of experience with Structured Query Language (SQL).
• 3+ years of experience managing DB2 LUW environments.
• 3+ years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• 1+ year of experience with Relational Data Modeling.
• 1+ year of experience using Erwin.
• Ability to work non-business hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Quest Toad for DB2 LUW, IBM DataQuant, or QMF.
• Experience with Unix shell scripting (ksh, csh, bash, or sh) and COBOL.
• Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or Teradata.
