You will manage, optimize, and migrate database environments across legacy and cloud platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot legacy Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
• Migrate schemas, data, and stored procedures using tools like pgLoader or AWS DMS.
• Design and implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Monitor database performance to ensure high availability, security, and integrity.
• Document technical requirements, process diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a DBA with both SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Detailed understanding of RDBMS systems including Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Working knowledge of AWS RDS, Azure SQL, and managed database services.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/pgSQL, and PowerShell.
• Experience with database migration tools such as pgLoader and AWS DMS.
• Strong understanding of data security, integrity, and compliance best practices.
• Ability to perform performance tuning and query optimization.
• Proficiency with MS Visio, PowerPoint, and MS Office.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to work on ad-hoc assignments with limited guidance.
