Description

Administer and support Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server platforms, owning database builds, configuration, hardening, and migration lifecycle execution.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Oracle (11g/12c/19c, Exadata) and Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) environments.
• Perform database builds, configuration, hardening, and pre-migration validation including version compatibility and storage layout.
• Conduct data consistency checks, performance baselines, and support HA/DR strategies including failover testing and production cutover.
• Maintain runbooks, migration reports, and operational documentation while coordinating with application and infrastructure teams.
• Execute migration tasks using ServiceNow, Jira, and CMDB within regulated BFS governance frameworks.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of experience in database administration.
• Deep knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.
• Proficiency in SQL Server Always On, clustering, backup/restore, and replication.
• Experience with HA/DR concepts and production cutover best practices.
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow, Jira, and CMDB for migration execution.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in regulated BFS environments with strict audit and change control.

Preferred Skills

• Automation-driven database administration using scripts, job scheduling, or AMA tooling.
