Description

Manage and optimize enterprise-level database environments across AWS and Azure platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage AWS RDS services including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MSSQL, alongside DynamoDB and Redshift.
• Execute database backups, snapshots, replication, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Perform advanced performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing to resolve complex database issues.
• Automate system administration and repetitive tasks using Python, Bash, or Perl scripting.
• Deploy database environments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS RDS.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Shell scripting for automation.
• Strong experience with AWS services: CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, and security groups.
• Expertise in Unix/Linux systems administration, monitoring, patching, and security hardening.
• Experience with Azure technologies including SQL and Cosmos DB.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools including Jenkins, GitHub, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) via Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Competency in SQL and MySQL.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and remediation for complex systems.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional.
