Description

You will manage and maintain enterprise-scale SQL and NoSQL database systems across on-prem and AWS cloud environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Microsoft SQL Server and AWS-managed databases (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB).
• Build and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, including Always-On and clustering.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize database performance, indexing, and query execution plans.
• Automate provisioning, patching, and monitoring tasks using scripting and Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Ensure database security and compliance by managing access controls, encryption, and audit readiness.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA, covering installation, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Proven experience with NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB, including replication and sharding.
• Strong experience managing databases on AWS, including RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server High Availability (Always-On) and clustering.
• Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python or Bash/PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with cloud platform fundamentals, including AWS services like IAM, EC2, and S3.
• Ability to troubleshoot and remediate complex database incidents.
