Description

Manage SAP HANA database infrastructure, including installation, administration, patching, upgrades, and security for production environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Perform SAP HANA installation, administration, patching, and upgrades, including HANA 1.0 to 2.0 and HANA 2.0 MDC end-to-end.
• Execute backup, recovery, and point-in-time recovery for MDC and Non-MDC systems using Backint in HANA Studio.
• Monitor system health via HANA Studio alerts, analyze trace files, and troubleshoot Linux performance issues (CPU/memory).
• Manage maintenance windows, stopping/starting HANA for single-tenant and multi-tenant systems.
• Handle operational governance: license applications, audit log management, trace enablement, parameter configuration, and user/role administration.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP HANA DBA.
• Strong knowledge of SAP HANA database security and production administration.
• Deep understanding of HANA system architecture, including single-tenant and multi-tenant operations.
• Proficiency in HANA Studio for monitoring, alerts, and Backint backup/restore procedures.
• Linux operating system knowledge for operational troubleshooting and performance analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with HANA 2.0 MDC deployments.
• Experience with DB client upgrades.
