Description

Manage the security, integrity, and performance of the database environment. This role owns the full lifecycle of data models, table maintenance, and distributed data issues.

Responsibilities

• Resolve database performance, capacity, replication, and distributed data issues.
• Map conceptual designs to logical and physical models to meet storage requirements.
• Manage user access, permissions, and security protocols.
• Develop, test, and manage backup, recovery, and archiving procedures.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of progressive experience in database administration or related fields.
• Proficiency with SQL.
• Experience managing Oracle and IBM-DB2 databases.
• Hands-on experience with Goldengate.
• Working knowledge of TOAD.
• Operating system experience in Linux, UNIX, and Windows.
• Ability to travel to various client locations within the United States for short and long-term assignments.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or Engineering (Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or Engineering (Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical) with 5+ years of progressive experience.
