Description

You will manage data warehouse workload migrations into AWS Redshift and maintain database performance. You will optimize and tune the Redshift environment, including clusters, databases, and SQL queries. You will analyze explain plans and tune workloads to improve runtime performance. You will manage Redshift Workload Management (WLM) and queue management. You will support Redshift and Aurora cluster and database administration. You will implement data replication, data sharing, and data modeling for logical and physical data sources. You will automate tasks using Python scripting. You will configure cloud monitoring and alert metrics management.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and tune Redshift clusters, databases, and SQL queries to improve runtime performance.
• Manage Redshift Workload Management (WLM) and queue management.
• Support Redshift and Aurora cluster and database administration.
• Implement data replication, data sharing, and data modeling.
• Automate tasks using Python scripting and configure cloud monitoring alerts.

Required Skills

• 8 to 10 years of experience in database administration.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Redshift and RDS.
• 5 years of experience in performance tuning.
• Proficiency with SQL queries and query tuning.
• Strong understanding of AWS architecture, specifically RDS and S3.
• Experience with Python scripting and automation.
• Knowledge of ADFS and user access management.
• Degree in any field.

Preferred Skills

• Apache Airflow experience.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
