Description
Manage and optimize mainframe database environments and supporting infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Upgrade software, operating systems, and utilities to support infrastructure platforms.
- Monitor batch jobs and optimize database performance for system efficiency.
- Apply security measures to protect databases and support disaster recovery drills.
- Design, develop, and debug software programs for system enhancements.
- Automate build pipelines and manage infrastructure configuration using CI/CD tools.
Required Skills
- 14+ years of experience in database administration or mainframe application development.
- Proficiency in COBOL, DB2, and IMS.
- Experience with JCL, Zeke, File Aid, Changeman, CA7, TWS, and Endevor.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub and ServiceNow for configuration management.
- Experience using Jenkins for build pipeline automation and packaging.
- Ability to analyze large data sets to identify patterns and drive architectural improvements.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and debugging skills within mainframe environments.
