Description

You will manage and maintain IMS database environments on mainframes, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer IMS databases and execute utilities (DFSRRC00, DFSUPAA0, DFSURGU0).
• Tune IMS performance, troubleshoot issues, and plan capacity.
• Manage IMS database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
• Operate using JCL, TSO/ISPF, and mainframe monitoring tools.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on IMS Database Administration experience in a mainframe environment.
• Strong knowledge of IMS DB architecture, DL/I, and transaction management.
• Proficiency in IMS database utilities (DFSRRC00, DFSUPAA0, DFSURGU0).
• Experience with IMS performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with JCL and TSO/ISPF.
• Understanding of IMS database backup and recovery processes.
