Description

You will own database administration and consulting tasks across Oracle and SQL Server environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage Oracle and SQL Server database architectures.
• Execute database upgrades, patching (PSU/CPU/RU), and migrations across platforms.
• Perform performance tuning, monitor wait events, and optimize resource utilization.
• Manage backup, recovery, and high availability for both Oracle and SQL Server.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for DBA queries, managing escalations and client communication.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience administering Oracle and SQL Server RDBMS.
• Deep expertise in AWS and Azure database deployment and management.
• Proficiency in Shell Scripting for database automation.
• Experience configuring and managing AWS RDS and Azure SQL/Oracle on IaaS/VMs.
• Advanced knowledge of performance tuning, indexing strategies, and bottleneck troubleshooting (IO, CPU).
• Experience with zero/minimal downtime migration strategies (e.g., Data Guard, GoldenGate).
• Competency in database governance, security, and compliance for Oracle and SQL Server.
• Ability to perform capacity planning forecasting (CPU, memory, storage, IOPS).
