Description

Manage the design, development, and implementation of SQL database instances across AWS development and production environments. You will own the migration of application data from on-premises sources to cloud databases using DMS tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement SQL database instances for AWS development and production environments.
• Migrate application data from on-premises databases to cloud databases using DMS tools.
• Perform database and application performance tuning for SQL Server and AWS Redshift.
• Execute daily maintenance, monitoring, problem resolution, and root cause analysis for production issues.
• Collaborate with ETL/BI developers and QA teams to implement BI database solutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Proficiency with AWS and AWS Redshift management.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server and DMS (Database Migration Services).
• Experience supporting BI solutions including SSIS, SSRS, and PowerBI.
• Expertise in performance tuning and resource optimization.
• Ability to design and extend data marts, metadata, and data models.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, CE, or a relevant IT area.

• Ability to participate in on-call production support.
• Capability to monitor cloud costs, database security, and network usage.
