Description

Manage and optimize PostgreSQL environments across Azure and AWS cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Optimize performance on Azure PostgreSQL Flexible Server and Amazon RDS PostgreSQL by evaluating SQL execution plans and restructuring queries.
• Manage database backups, restorations, and point-in-time recovery within Azure and AWS environments.
• Execute database migrations and maintain data integrity throughout the process.
• Monitor database health using CloudWatch and Performance Insights to proactively address performance metrics.
• Conduct periodic security checks to ensure compliance with established security policies and procedures.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Azure PostgreSQL Flexible Server and/or Amazon RDS PostgreSQL (Standard/Aurora).
• Expertise in SQL execution plan analysis and identifying high-cost operations.
• Proficiency in indexing strategies and query restructuring to resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Hands-on experience with database backup, restoration, and migration workflows.
• Experience managing Azure PostgreSQL, AWS RDS PostgreSQL, Azure MySQL, and Azure MS SQL databases.
• Ability to use TessellCloud, CyberArk Privileged Access Management, and ServiceNow IT Management.
• Familiarity with Databricks.
• Bachelor's degree.
