Description

You will provide operational support and production maintenance for a global database infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain database infrastructure, including implementation, operational support, and periodic upgrades.
• Perform root cause analysis on system failures and incidents to provide remediation solutions.
• Monitor database infrastructure for healthchecks, application alerts, and replication alerts.
• Execute provisioning activities, user requests, and business continuity plan tests.
• Manage small project initiatives such as datacenter migrations and end-of-life hardware or software transitions.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Database Administration or a related role.
• Deep expertise in UDB/DB2 administration, maintenance, and implementation in complex environments.
• Hands-on experience with DB2 Replication, including SQL Rep and Q replication.
• Strong knowledge of DB2 HADR, version upgrades, builds, and transportable tablespaces.
• Proficiency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (v3/4/5/6) and Sun Solaris (5.8/10).
• Experience managing database infrastructure on Sun, Dell, and HP hardware.
• Ability to schedule maintenance jobs using Autosys.
• Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Sybase IQ, Postgres, Hadoop, MSSQL, MongoDB, and Oracle.
