Database Administrator

You will manage database design, data modeling, and high availability setups across multiple application environments.

Responsibilities

• Design databases and perform data modeling for various applications.
• Develop and maintain SQL, PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers using Oracle 11g/12c.
• Diagnose and tune performance issues both proactively and reactively throughout the SDLC.
• Install, administer, and monitor high availability database configurations.
• Manage application servers and perform iterative tuning to optimize performance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in Oracle 11g/12c and Oracle server management.
• Proficiency with SQL and PL/SQL (packages, procedures, functions, and triggers).
• Experience with DB-2 and Sybase.
• Hands-on experience with BMC-PATROL.
• Knowledge of database designing and data modeling.
• Experience working on HP UNIX and Sun Solaris platforms.
• Ability to manage performance tuning and monitoring.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with OEM, Embarcadero DBArtsian, and warehouse benchmarking.
