Database Administrator

You will manage and optimize database environments across multiple application platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design databases and perform data modeling for various application requirements.
• Develop and maintain SQL, PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Manage installation, administration, and high availability setups.
• Diagnose and tune performance issues both proactively and reactively throughout the SDLC.
• Monitor and benchmark applications on HP UNIX and Sun Solaris platforms.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Proficiency with Oracle (11g/12c) and DB-2.
• Strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Sybase and Application Server management.
• Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and BMC-PATROL.
• Experience using Embarcadero DBArtsian.
• Hands-on experience with HP UNIX and Sun Solaris platforms.
• Ability to perform performance tuning and monitoring in complex environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data warehousing and application benchmarking.
