Description

You will manage and maintain mission-critical database infrastructure across various environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain MySQL, Redis, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases in on-premise and AWS environments.
• Manage replication solutions for each database to ensure high availability based on application requirements.
• Administer and optimize AWS managed database services including RDS, AURORA, ElastiCache, DynamoDB, S3, and EC2.
• Automate routine tasks and infrastructure setup using Ansible and AWS CloudFormation.
• Design and implement monitoring and alerting systems (CloudWatch, PMM, DataDog, MonYog) to identify performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with developers to design efficient schemas, optimize complex queries, and enhance database performance.
• Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies ensuring minimal data loss.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in database administration.
• Proficiency with MySQL, Redis, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience automating infrastructure with Ansible and AWS CloudFormation.
• Strong scripting capability in Python or Shell Scripting.
• Experience administering Linux environments.
• Familiarity with AWS services (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, etc.).
