Description

Manage the design, implementation, and performance of MSSQL database systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement MSSQL databases, defining structures, tables, and relationships alongside developers.
• Manage high availability using database clustering, mirroring, and AlwaysOn Availability Groups.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, index management, and bottleneck resolution.
• Execute backup and recovery operations, including regular integrity validation and recovery drills.
• Automate routine tasks and monitoring using custom scripts.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a Database Administrator focusing on MSSQL.
• Expertise in MSSQL administration, including installations, configurations, and upgrades.
• Proven experience in database design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Deep knowledge of high availability solutions and database security best practices.
• Proficiency in performance tuning and query optimization.
• Strong understanding of backup and recovery processes.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate.
