Description

You will manage and optimize relational database systems to support mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Execute standard DBA operations including monitoring, query optimization, tuning, and cost optimization.
• Manage backup and restore processes alongside blue/green deployments.
• Troubleshoot database issues in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
• Support agile software development teams and participate in on-call pager-duty rotations.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in RDBMS, specifically MySQL or Postgres.
• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, including MySQL Aurora and/or Postgres.
• Proficiency with AWS CLI and AWS RDS tools.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Experience working within agile development frameworks.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
