Description

You will manage and optimize MySQL databases to support critical applications and services.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and maintain MySQL databases and clustering in large-scale environments.
• Perform database tuning, query optimization, and replication to ensure high performance and scalability.
• Implement backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and failover systems for high availability.
• Execute routine maintenance, including patch management, version upgrades, and security hardening.
• Document database systems, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience with MySQL and other relational databases such as MS SQL or Oracle.
• Expertise in MySQL clustering, administration, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in analyzing and refining complex SQL queries for high-volume data processing.
• Basic understanding of Linux Administration.
• Solid understanding of on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of database security best practices, including encryption, access control, and data masking.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Electronic Engineering.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with version control using Git.
• Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence.
