Roles and Responsibilities:

• Administer MySQL databases including configuration, monitoring, and day-to-day operational support.
• Design and maintain database architecture for reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Plan and execute MySQL upgrades with minimal downtime and validated rollback/verification steps.
• Implement and test backup & recovery procedures and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
• Administer Unix/Linux systems and use shell scripting to automate routine database operations and troubleshooting workflows.

Skills Required:

• 6-10 years of relevant experience as a MySQL Database Administrator.
• MySQL administration with proven DBA experience in production environments.
• Database architecture knowledge covering design, implementation, and operational best practices.
• Expertise in upgrades, backup & recovery, and disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting for operational automation and support.

Good to Have:

• User access management and strong troubleshooting experience.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
