Roles & Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, patch, secure, and maintain on-premises SQL Server environments including backup/restore and disaster recovery.
• Provision, scale, configure geo-replication, failover groups, and optimize cloud database costs for Azure SQL PaaS.
• Configure clusters, manage Unity Catalog access, schedule jobs, and integrate with data sources in Databricks.
• Build, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure Data Factory pipelines and manage integration runtimes effectively.
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot SSIS packages, including those in Azure Integration Runtime environments.
• Perform query tuning, indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and implement resource governance policies.
• Enforce encryption, auditing, and compliance standards across hybrid database environments for security.
• Configure Always On Availability Groups, log shipping, and geo-replication solutions for high availability.
• Set up alerts, monitor pipelines, and resolve incidents promptly to meet established SLAs.
• Collaborate with engineers, developers, and analysts on integration, migration, and modernization projects.
• Use automation tools to streamline routine operations and improve operational efficiency significantly.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, runbooks, and process documentation for team reference and compliance.

Experience Required: Strong administration experience with SQL Server 2016+ including installation, upgrades, and patching. Expertise in backup/recovery strategies, point-in-time restore, and disaster recovery planning. Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database & Managed Instance including scaling, geo-replication, and failover management
