Description

You will manage database installations, configurations, and high availability for medium to large scale deployments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage Couchbase deployments, including replica configuration, server grouping, and XDCR.
• Perform query tuning, index creation, and troubleshooting via log analysis and response time decoding.
• Execute backups, recovery procedures, and monitoring for database environments.
• Plan and control tasks related to patching, upgrades, security, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to drive adoption of new technologies within the database stack.

Required Skills

• 10-12 years of experience in Level 3 and Level 4 support.
• Expertise in managing Couchbase at scale, including Eventing, Full Text Search, and Analytics services.
• Proficiency with MS SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, load testing, and capturing response times.
• Working knowledge of Cloud technologies (IaaS and PaaS).
• Deep understanding of bucket types, configurations, and SQL++ tuning.
• Strong knowledge of OS, virtualization, storage, and related command-line tools.
• Experience with automation in database support structures.

Preferred Skills

• Additional experience with MySQL.
