Description

You will provide operational database management within the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, supporting both cloud and on-premises environments.

Responsibilities

• Automate database tasks using infrastructure as code and configuration management.
• Maintain database patching, version support lifecycles, and server tuning.
• Migrate legacy servers to newer versions and cloud platforms.
• Participate in production incident post-mortems and on-call support rotations.
• Partner with software engineering teams to optimize database queries and indexes.

Required Skills

• 2-4 years of experience in Database Administration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Experience with Azure Postgres, Azure SQL, AWS Aurora, or AWS Postgres.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment supporting multiple engineering teams.
• Any Graduate degree in IT, IS, CS, or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of operational security and compliance protocols.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft SSIS, SSAS, or Terraform.
• Linux administration (RHEL/Ubuntu) and configuration management tools like Ansible or Salt Stack.
• Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
