Description

Responsibilities

• Provide database application support services including server management and maintenance
• Collaborate with internal staff and external agencies to obtain project requirements and specifications
• Assist project managers within the IT division by supporting database-related tasks
• Maintain and update existing database code written by other developers
• Troubleshoot, investigate, mitigate, and resolve technical database issues
• Adapt quickly to new systems, tools, and procedures
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end users

Required Qualifications

• Progressive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and T-SQL programming
• Proficiency in database administrative tasks and maintaining legacy code
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with software, hardware, and peripherals installation, support, and troubleshooting
• Development experience with .NET Standard 4.8+ and Visual Basic
• Familiarity with ASP.NET (VB and C#), ASP, HTML, HTML5, jQuery, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and JSON
• Ability to translate formal requirements documentation into database and program modules
• Server and system administration experience focusing on performance, security, and reliability
• Understanding of the full system development life cycle and code maintenance
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform (including Power Applications and DAX) is a plus
