Description

You will manage and optimize diverse database technologies across production and non-production environments.

Responsibilities

• Define best practices for database configurations, optimization parameters, high availability, and fault-tolerant system implementations.
• Manage space estimation, backups, restore solutions, and monitoring/health check processes.
• Collaborate with global project teams to identify production risks and implement technical solutions.
• Build a central knowledge base by documenting technical practices for the DBA team.
• Automate database activities within Windows and Linux environments.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience as a production DBA on MS-SQL with expertise in replication setup and DR methodologies.
• 3+ years of experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or NoSQL technologies.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL tools including pgBackRest, Patroni, pgBouncer, and pgpool.
• Proficiency with Oracle RAC, RMAN, and logical replication solutions such as GoldenGate or Debezium.
• Experience managing Cassandra and streaming replication.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience implementing database solutions on cloud platforms using PaaS and DBaaS.
• Ability to optimize database infrastructure layout and configurations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or Redis.
