Description

You will manage and optimize production Sybase environments to ensure stability and performance. You own the release pipeline for database changes, including data conversion, tool configuration, refreshes, and migrations.

Responsibilities

• Review and enhance Sybase and SQL code to improve performance and meet industry standards.
• Plan and design database changes for data conversion, tool configuration, data refreshes, or migrations.
• Manage large application development projects involving data migration and database architecture.
• Maintain control and mitigate risk within production environments.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as a production Sybase DBA.
• Deep expertise with Sybase 15 and 16, including replication.
• Experience with Sybase Direct Connect for Oracle.
• Proficiency in Shell Scripting.
• Experience operating in Linux, Solaris, or UNIX environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of MS SQL or Oracle RDBMS.
